IBM, I/T Specialist
Client: NASCO, Mechanicsburg, PA

8/00-present. Developed and enhanced existing batch COBOL II/370 and Assembler programs for NASCO. Subsystems included Scrubbers, Front-End, Pricing, Pay Resolution, and Financial. Designed and developed detailed-level specifications for 837 HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) . Implemented 837 Scrubber I and Scrubber II processes along with building the transaction log records (TRLOG 5.0) conversion process. Installed software and upgrades to over 50 personal and laptop computers. Developed over 25 invaluable REXX and CLIST commands to assist technical and non-technical co-workers: compiling COBOL modules, printing datasets, printing documentation, browse/edit datasets, online job cycle calendar, easy navigational tools for the system just to name a few. Provided technical assistance to both technical and non-technical co-workers; peer advisor for several employees. Languages included Assembler, CLIST, COBOL II/370, DB2, Dialog Manager, REXX and SQL.

Client: Industrial Logistics Systems Center (US Army), Chambersburg, PA

8/99-8/00. Developed and enhanced existing COBOL II batch and CICS/VS programs for the Maintenance system. Performed analysis and implemented a new "A3" Work Accomplishment Code (WAC). Created embedded Oracle SQL programs and PL/SQL queries. Performed unit acceptance testing against modified programs. Assisted in a Data Management Request (DMR) conversion to an Oracle environment. Provided technical assistance to fellow programmers and to business analysts. Taught in-house classes on debugging tools such as Xpediter for both batch and online systems. Converted over 150 existing modules from COBOL to COBOL LE/370. Developed a menu-driven REXX routine in which created Oracle SQL reports for business analyst.
